The Mount Sinai 100 Fund

The determination to improve lives persists, whether through groundbreaking medical discoveries or achieving unprecedented milestones in treating chronic disease and delivering babies earlier than ever thought possible.

One hundred years ago, Mount Sinai Hospital opened its doors on Yorkville Avenue after a group of Jewish women raised funds for a hospital to meet the urgent health-care needs of their community. A century later, Mount Sinai continues to be an inclusive and innovative hospital powered by philanthropy.

Sinai Health Foundation has established a $25-million endowed fund in honour of our centennial. The Mount Sinai 100 Fund will provide stable annual funding in perpetuity, allowing us to respond to the most urgent needs of our hospitals for the next 100 years.

Recognizing our Community

While we had to postpone our 100th anniversary gala this past fall, the Mount Sinai 100: Gala of the Century has been rescheduled for September 2024, at the Four Seasons Centre for the Performing Arts. This evening will honour the community that built Mount Sinai Hospital and provide a look towards our collective future.
